LT Victoria Shreffler

Outreach Team MemberI did not have a very strong academic profile leaving high school. Therefore, I was not offered a direct appointment to the Academy but instead given the opportunity to attend one year of preparatory school. I was initially devastated; in fact, I threw the prep school letter away. My brother took the letter out of the trash later that night and I reconsidered. I am so glad I called my Admissions Officer and accepted the offer. Prep school prepared me to live on my own and helped me build my strengths in time management which is a critical skill to have at the Academy.

After graduating from the Academy in 2015, I reported in to flight training at Naval Air Station Pensacola. My first operational unit is Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod in Buzzards Bay, MA. I currently live in Marstons Mills, MA with my husband and two children. In my free time I enjoy volunteering at local hospitals in the emergency room and with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families as a volunteer case, helping ensure the safety and permanency of children in the state.
