Visit the Coast Guard Academy

Members of the public are welcome to visit the Coast Guard Academy and attend public athletic events and performances, subject to the security posture of the Academy. Admissions visits are handled by the Admissions Division. Please submit the form below for other tour requests. We will do our best to accommodate requests but may be unable to do so in all cases.

Group Tours

Group tours are about an hour long. Guests should wear comfortable walking clothes and be ready to walk up and down hills. There is no charge for tours.
Please note:

  • Any vehicle and its occupants entering the grounds are subject to security searches by uniformed security officers.
  • Marching formations have right of way. Vehicles may not pass marching formations.

Photo ID Required

Adults should present valid photo identification at the entrance gate. If directed, please be prepared to present vehicle registration and proof of insurance. As a federal facility, the Coast Guard Academy complies with the REAL ID Act, a federal law passed in 2005 to set standards for authenticating personal identification.
