NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Are you ready for the most challenging and rewarding week of your life? Add these
tips to your AIM prep to make the most of your upcoming experience.
Drink Up
Consume extra water the day before you arrive. The New England sun is hot, and the push-ups are hotter. Staying hydrated before, during and after your day keeps your body and mind on-point.
Leave Your Baggage at the Door
Pack light and de-stress. A light suitcase and clear conscience improves your performance both on and off the field.
Get a Leg Up On Jet Lag
Adjust your schedule ahead of time. Get plenty of rest while you can. You’ll need it for the drills, sailing, and physical fitness exam.
Unplug and Recharge
Dial back on your electronic devices. Your cell phone will be stored in a secure location during AIM, so limiting your use beforehand will ease your digital withdrawal.
Don’t Take It Personal
Expect intensity, as this is a boot camp-style experience. But don’t sweat it. The instruction techniques are meant to build your strength, not break your spirit. So take it in stride and let it motivate you.
Implement these tips and you’ll be ahead of the AIM game. If you still have questions, visit AIM or text 860-984-6195 to get answers.
