Gary C. Kessler, Ph.D., CISSP, CCE

Gary C. KesslerGary C. Kessler, Ph.D., CISSP, CCE, is a Professor of Cybersecurity in the Security Studies and International Affairs Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida; he is a visiting faculty member at the CGA while taking sabbatical in Fall 2019. Gary has been in higher education since 2000, started digital forensics and cybersecurity programs at two colleges and universities, and has been on the advisory board of several other such programs. He has been affiliated with Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Forces since 1999 (in Vermont and Northern Florida), has written more than 75 articles, papers, books, or book chapters, and is a regular speaker at various conferences. Gary is a member of the USCG Auxiliary, holding a coxswain qualification and office of Branch Chief – Cyber Readiness. He is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and holds a 50GT Master Merchant Mariner Certificate. More information can be found at
