Cyber Systems Careers

Cyber Systems majors will have the opportunity to serve in the Coast Guard (and beyond) at the Coast Guard Cyber Command, U.S. Cyber Command, and as Cybersecurity Officer specialists at a wide variety of Coast Guard units.

Duties will encompass the entire spectrum of Coast Guard missions, including:

  • Disrupting transnational criminal networks
  • Training DoD and USCG cyber mission forces
  • Directing surface and air assets to carry out law enforcement operations
  • Managing the architecture, design, engineering and lifecycle for the Coast Guard's computer infrastructure
  • Delivering support to Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) and IT systems for Coast Guard units
  • Using advanced ship technology to accomplish Coast Guard missions

Equipped with a deep knowledge of the field and a highly desirable skill set, Cyber Systems graduates will go on to great success in a variety of careers – both within the Coast Guard and, after, in private industry
