Exchange and Cadet Bookstore

The CG Exchange and bookstore offer personal care and household items, electronics, food, school supplies, uniform items and more.

Hours of Operation:

Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Personnel Support Services

The Coast Guard Academy is committed to serving and supporting our military personnel with quality services and programs. These services are available for current and rotating personnel as well as retired Coast Guard members.

  • ID Cards – The Identification Card Office issues approximately 3,000 cards each year to military personnel and their dependents, as well as to civilian personnel.
  • Housing – The Housing Office provides resources and guidance to military personnel and their families when they are looking for affordable housing in the area.
  • Lodging – There are a few options, both on and off campus, for military members visiting the Academy. To reserve a room in Munro Hall, call (860) 444-8664; for the VIP Quarters, call (860) 444-8285; and for the Navy Lodge located in Groton, Connecticut, call (860) 446-3119.
  • Legal Services – The Legal Office services all Coast Guard military personnel. Retirees and their dependents should contact the Regional Legal Services Office at the Naval Submarine Base New London. See or call 860-694-3741 for more information.
Pistol and Rifle Range

The U.S. Coast Guard Academy and its predecessor, the U.S. Revenue Cutter Service Training School, have been provided with armory support and small arms training by Gunners Mates since the turn of the century. The Academy's Armory and small arms ranges are located in Chase Hall.
