Captain Hickey is a member of the Academy’s Permanent Commissioned Teaching Staff. Previous operational assignments were aboard Coast Guard cutters Chase and Munro. She also served as Executive Officer of Tactical Law Enforcement Teams (TACLET) South, as Comptroller of Base New Orleans, and as a rotating military instructor of accounting at the Academy. Her research interests are in governmental financial reporting and accounting education. She also serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Accounting Education.
