    Died in the line of duty on Aug 24th, 1990.

    During aviation operations in the Caribbean Sea, LT Perlt's aircraft, CG E2C 3501, suffered a catastrophic malfunction in flight. LT Perlt and his crew were attempting to make an emergency landing at Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico. All aboard were lost.

    K/AC on July 12th, 1994

    Killed while piloting Coast Guard HH-65 Dolphin helicopter in fog off the northern California coast during the search for a stranded fishing boat. The helicopter smashed into a rocky cliff and all four crew members were lost. (Download pdf)

    Killed in Aircraft Ops on September 4th, 2008

    On September 4th, 2008, CAPT Nelson was piloting CG HH-6505 out of Air Station Barbers Point, Hawaii during rescue basket hoist operations with a small boat from Station Honolulu. The helicopter crashed five nautical miles south of Honolulu, killing all four personnel onboard. (Download pdf)
