U.S. Coast Guard AcademyA native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Lieutenant Webb graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 2005, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management. Lieutenant Webb is currently assigned as the Operations Officer in CGC Vigilant (WMEC-617). Lieutenant Webb’s most recent sea assignment was in USS Mustin (DDG-89), as part of Carrier Strike Group 5, Destroyer Squadron 15 and Forward Deployed Naval Forces (FDNF) Yokosuka, Japan. While serving with the Navy, Lieutenant Webb operated in the Seventh Fleet AOR in support of routine security operations in the Western Pacific Ocean. During this tour, he earned his Surface Warfare Officer designation while assigned as Navigator. His other sea duty assignments include Assistant Navigator, Law Enforcement Officer, and Assistant Operations Officer in CGC Bear (WMEC-901).
Lieutenant Webb’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Commandant’s Letter of Commendation ribbon with one gold star, and various service and unit awards. LT Webb is also a Permanent Cutterman and a designated Surface Warfare Officer. He is married to the former Ms. Yoshie Ishimura of Morioka-shi, Japan.
