David Rovinsky has been an Economic Officer and a member of the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State since 2000. He most recently served as Deputy Director of the Office of Multilateral Affairs in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs. His previous assignments were in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research, the Office of Canadian Affairs, the Economic Section at U.S. Embassy Manila, the Political Section at U.S. Embassy Asunción, and the Consular Section at Consulate São Paulo. 

Before joining the Foreign Service, Dr. Rovinsky was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Siena College and in the Department of Political Science at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
