LT Brian Crimmel graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Operations Research and Computer Analysis. His first tour upon graduation was at USCG Sector Boston where he served as Incident Management Division Chief in the Response Department. In 2010, LT Crimmel departed Sector Boston and attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Operations Research. LT Crimmel joined the Department of Mathematics at the USCGA in 2012. LT Crimmel’s research interests include probabilistic modeling, combinatorial optimization, and sports analytics.
