Tall Ship Eagle
3/c Kieron McCarthy

Reporting to Eagle in Bermuda was the beginning of an adventure of a lifetime. The trip from Bermuda to Charleston, South Carolina, was a long one, but it gave us a chance to challenge ourselves with the hard work the crew does on a daily basis. This time away from the Academy has allowed us all the opportunity to learn about and appreciate our classmates. The race from Charleston to Boston was the most intense leg of the trip. Standing helm and look-out watch along with watch on-deck took a toll on my body, but in return it provided me with a vast amount of knowledge and experience I could not have gotten otherwise.

Traveling to different ports and participating in the tall ship parade in Halifax has given me and my friends unforgettable memories.
