Tall Ship Eagle3/c Alexander Lloyd
With one week aboard Eagle, I can honestly say things are going better than I expected, coming from a cutter in Hawaii. Initially, I was not looking forward to the transition. Nonetheless, I have done my best to keep my head high, and it paid off.
It was awesome to be able to fly through the ‘helm and lookout packet’ with the knowledge from my last cutter. Despite all of the watches, my group has completed nearly all of our requirements and passed our pinrail and sail nomenclature test. Soon we will take our board and be able to stand our own qualified watches. I feel a sense of accomplishment and am looking forward to Charleston.
