National Honor Societies
The Academy sponsors chapters of several national honor societies including:

  • Alpha Lambda Delta celebrating excellence in the first year of college
  • Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, recognizing outstanding achievement as a Government major
  • Beta Gamma Sigma recognizing high achievement in an undergraduate business program accredited by AACSB International

In addition, the USCGA offers membership in student chapters of a number of professional societies, including but not limited to:

  • American Society of Civil Engineers, etc.
  • Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers
  • Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers
  • Institute for Operational Research and the Management Sciences
