Dr. Daniel Prober, Yale University

“Ultrasmall and Untrasensitive Carbon Nanostructures – Nanotubes and Graphene” 

Biography: Dr. Daniel Prober is a Professor of Applied Physics and Physics at Yale University. His main research interests are in nanosystems, superconductivity, quantum noise and ultrasensitive photon detectors. Dr. Prober has received two NASA research awards and two Fulbright Fellowships. He is the Director of Graduate Admissions for his department, and recently completed a six-year term as Chair of the Department of Applied Physics. He has organized many public school science lectures. His teaching ranges from a graduate course on superconductivity to a freshman seminar on ‘Science of Modern Technology,’ and courses at levels in between.
