I grew up in Bowie, Maryland, between Annapolis and Washington, D.C. I first became interested in joining the military when I learned of, and visited the U.S. Navy frigate USS Klakring while in elementary school. The ship is named after a relative of mine, and provided the motivation that resulted in my being accepted into the Naval, Air Force, and Coast Guard academies.

As a member of the offshore sailing team, jazz band, regimental band, and numerous other groups and clubs, I am active in the corps of cadets. I am majoring in civil engineering.

I like all sorts of music, but especially MGMT, Kings of Leon, and Franz Ferdinand. I am involved in a long distance relationship, have hosted several “cadets-for-a-day” and happily answers any questions via email.
