My name is Nick Capuzzi. I’m originally from Media, Pennsylvania, but I moved to League City, Texas, before my freshman year of high school. In high school, I took a wide variety of AP classes. I was also the Editor-in-Chief of my high school yearbook and an officer in the National Honor Society. I played lacrosse through high school. I was also very involved with my school’s JROTC program and Houston Division of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps. I worked my way up to become a cadet colonel in JROTC and a chief petty officer in the Sea Cadets.
Here at the Coast Guard Academy, I am a member of the intercollegiate offshore sailing team. In the small amount of free time I have, I am also a member of the Catholic Choir and the Drama Club.
I have two extremely supportive parents and two younger siblings: a sister and a brother. I am the first of my immediate family to join the military, but I do have a cousin who is a major in the USMC.
