I was born and raised in sunny Jupiter, Florida. As much as I miss the sandy beach now, I know when the snow starts falling I will really be wishing I was in Florida! I have an older brother who attends the University of Florida and is in the NROTC program Marine option. In high school I was in the International Baccalaureate program and played volleyball, ran track, and competed on the dive team. I am currently on the varsity spring board diving team (always looking for new divers!) and playing inter-company volleyball. I never thought that I would be a member of the military, but I became interested in the Coast Guard when my brother applied to the AIM program. I began to contemplate the possibility of serving my country and researched service academies. I discovered that the Coast Guard had everything that I wanted. The opportunities the Coast Guard has to offer are unimaginable and the experiences I will have will be life changing.
