ABOUT JAKE
Hello! My name is Jake Boross. I am the proud son of a Coast Guard officer and elementary school teacher, Tom and Sandy Boross. We currently call Chesapeake, Virginia our home. However, like the majority of other “military brats”, I always have a hard time answering the question, “Where are you from?” I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and although I left the great state before my first birthday, I think there’s something to be said about being a Texan. Since leaving Texas, I’ve spent time in Massachusetts, Florida, Maryland and Virginia. Growing up in these different places has been a blessing, as I’ve had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people.
I’ve been playing baseball and football for as long as I can remember. As a huge sports fan, you can imagine how the frequent moves have confused my fan affiliation. However, when it comes to college football, it’s still all about “The U”. Since I spent my time growing up either on the gridiron or the diamond, I’m not in the slightest bit musically inclined. However, after I graduate from this fine institution and have a little more time for myself, I’d love to learn how to play the guitar. Until the day comes when I can make my own music, I’ll continue to enjoy the likes of the Dave Matthews Band and the Goo Goo Dolls.
I’m extremely fortunate to be a Cadet at the United States Coast Guard Academy. I’d love to speak with you about this great place! Email me at Jacob.T.Boross@uscga.edu.
