ABOUT CHRISTI
Hey there! I’m Christi Frost. I am a fourth class cadet at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. I grew up on the southwest coast of Florida with sunny beaches and warm gulf waters year round. So needless to say Connecticut is a wee bit different climatically. The transition into the cold has been smooth sailing, and I absolutely love it here!
I am a member of the Intercollegiate Sailing Team, which had a heavy influence on my decision to attend. I have been sailing since I was 10 years old, and fell in love with it on day one. Now, I have travelled all over the country and two four different countries. Finding the right sailing team was an absolute must for my college decision, and I hit the nail on the head. The team is one big family and they are my best friends, which makes life at the Academy more like home. We travel all over the country and it has been the greatest experience.
I also love the Academy because it allows me to surround myself with other goal-oriented people that are focused on success. Every day is a challenge, be it in the classroom, at sailing practice, or militarily. I look forward to serving my country as an officer in the Coast Guard. I plan on applying to flight school in Pensacola, Florida upon graduation to receive my pilot’s license. I would love to fly H-60 helicopters or C-130 fixed wing planes out of Air Station Miami, targeting drug smugglers.
If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to ask. My email is Christina.M.Frost@uscga.edu.
