FR&W...Boards...

We had our first formal room and wing (FR&W) of the semester today. FR&W is a huge deal and it’s the responsibility of the fourth class cadets to clean all of the common areas such as bathrooms and dayrooms. Our entire company was up very late last night cleaning. Every surface has to be scrubbed clean and dusted to perfection but we are allowed to listen to music out loud while we clean, which we are not normally allowed to do. Cleaning really isn’t that bad, every person in the corps has had to participate at one point and has stayed up late mopping hallways and dusting, plus cleaning with all of your friends can be very funny at times…
We just got our boards packets a few days ago and the upperclassmen are already pushing us to study as much as we can. The boards packet has a lot of new stuff for this year in it and we are required to know everything in the 50 page packet. When we finally are tested in February we get asked 10 questions and we have to get 8 right in order to pass. However, when everyone in our class passes we are eligible for carry-on!! I am nervous about boards and I really want to pass it on the first try so I can just get it over with and look forward to carry on. It’s weird to think that we are only a few months away from being 3/c, it seems like the first semester only started a few days ago.
More about Brandi.
