Windjammers Drum and Bugle Corps

(Extracurricular Activities and Faith-Based Involvement, Class of 2013) Permanent link   All Posts
Brandi Engle For one of my PE credits (you have to have two per year) I participated in the Windjammers drum and bugle corps …a.k.a. the marching band. We have a lot of fun and are able to compete in a lot of really, really cool places. Our best trips this year were to the Naval Academy to compete against the Air Force Academy and the Naval Academy in the Interservice Drum and Bugle Corps Competition, the NYC Veteran’s Day Parade where we marched down 5th Avenue in front of thousands of people, and Montreal, Canada.

We have a lot of fun and basically every weekend we have something cool going on. This week we are playing as a pep band for the Marine Corps boxing team that is coming, which is going to be awesome. We are constantly looking for more players, so even if you don’t play an instrument at the beginning of the season we can teach you to play and march and you can be on the field in no time.

More about Brandi.
