When I first started the school year after swab summer, I didn’t think that I would have any trouble academically. I had a 4.0 GPA in high school, took every AP class that I could, and got a 780 on the reading section of my SAT, so I thought that I was pretty prepared. It took me failing a couple tests to realize that the academics at the Academy are very challenging and the courses you take are not as easy as high school. The courses here will challenge you more than you ever have been before but the professors and upperclassmen are always available whenever you need help. All of my professors encourage us to come by anytime and all of them are very helpful and want you to do well. Even though I have had to study more than I ever had to before, with a lot of hard work it is very possible to make really good grades here. Like I said in my other entry, everyone here wants you to do well and there are tons of academic programs that offer encouragement and help when you need it.
