When I was home over the past Christmas break, everyone asked me how I liked the Academy. I often replied that it was a love-hate relationship. While I love the people, I don’t always like having to deal with so many little things. They then asked if I would do it differently if I could go back, and I was surprised at how quickly I said no, that I would make the same choices. As hard as the Academy can be at times, there’s no way I would do it differently because I’ve grown and changed so much. It has given me such great friends and really increased my confidence. There’s no way going to a civilian college would have changed me so much for the better so quickly. While the Academy still remains tedious and frustrating at times, it has made me who I am, and proud of who I am as well.
