When you picture the Coast Guard Academy I doubt that a James Bond-esque picture comes to mind, but on December 1, 2012 at the Winter Formal that was often the image conjured up as a result of the recent “Skyfall” thriller. The gentlemen looked sophisticated and the ladies were ravaging as we wore our Dinner Dress Blues for an evening filled with fantastic music, mouth-watering food, and plenty of fun. The evening started off with a wonderful three course meal with everybody popping bottles of sparkling cider.
After a delicious meal in the wardroom we went down to Leamy Ballroom where a great band was awaiting us. The festivities did not slow down all night, the band keeping us moving well into the night. There couldn’t have been a better evening of fun and entertainment. It was probably the most fun I’ve had at the Academy and definitely worth going to!
