|Thanks for visiting my web page! I am assigned to the Reserve forces of the Coast Guard. Reserves are a team of civilians activated in time of need. I jumped at the chance to serve as an Admissions Officer and represent the Academy as the Western Region Territory Manager, while living in San Diego, California.
I joined the Coast Guard in 1997, starting my career as a Maritime Enforcement Specialist. One of my favorite assignments was aboard the 110-foot patrol boat, Farallon, home-ported in Miami Beach, Florida. I participated in dozens of missions off the Bahamas and in the Caribbean, including search and rescue, drug interdiction and migrant interdiction. This class of ship is commanded by a junior officer and it’s a sought-after assignment for Academy graduates.
I moved to San Diego in 2012 where I support environmental protection and pollution response operations. In my civilian role I am a Deputy U.S. Marshal, assigned to the San Diego Fugitive Task Force.
I visit high schools in California and elsewhere in my territory regularly, working closely with LT Matt Tighe. I really enjoy connecting with students like you and lending a hand in your college search. Please contact LT Tighe or me when you are ready to learn more or start your application to the Academy! Go Bears!
