LT Anderson Ogg graduated from the Coast Guard Academy in 2004 with a B.S. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. His first tour was as a Student Engineer on the USCGC Polar Sea (WAGB 11) out of Seattle, Washington on which he was the Damage Control Assistant. His second tour was as a Port Engineer at NESU Alameda in Alameda California, at which he was responsible for the maintenance on a broad range of cutters including 87s, 110s, 175s and 378s. LT Ogg then attended graduate school at the University of Washington in Seattle and graduated in 2011 with a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering. He then reported to the USCGA in June 2011 as a rotating military faculty member in the NA&ME section. He is also an assistant coach for the men’s crew team.
